About
Bridging modern science and ancient wisdom, I’m a Five Elements Acupressurist (in training), Tui Na practitioner and craniosacral therapist on a mission to help you restore your mind-body connection. With a BSc in Kinesiology and years of experience in fitness, nutrition, and yoga, I’m here to help you reclaim your vitality and health.
Learning about the mind-body connection has been a lifelong endeavor for me. This interest led me to study Kinesiology and Physiology (BSc) at Simon Fraser University. I worked as a fitness and personal trainer for some time, and while I saw improvement in physical health in many of my clients, I realized that this was only a part of the health equation. Movement, if not mindful, can still cause stress and create harmful effects in the body.
My desire to balance my modern allopathic understanding with a more traditional and holistic understanding of the body led me to study Holistic Nutrition, Herbal Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Pacific Rim College of Integrative Health and later at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. This provided a world of perspective and a more comprehensive way to understand the human experience. I also learnt about restoring and healing the mind-body connection with the art of Yoga, in which I have had a personal practice for over 20 years and as a registered yoga teacher for over 10 years. I have also recently re-discovered the transformational power of breath-work (pranayama) as a breath-work and meditation instructor.
I look forward to integrating all of these different modalities to create a unique somatic experience to improve your health.
